Contractors, Gas Leaks, Asbestos, and more Contractors...
Who knew DIY would involve so many people
Another week of being a homeowner is in the books! Mercury has had a stressful beginning to the start of her journey, but somehow always manages to find a way to release some tension with laughter.
Mercury is our authenticity queen - she keeps it real by sharing her actual feelings and mistakes with us. Taking on a new project like this is always going to come with challenges, but if we can’t even admit when we’re feeling frustrated, how can we expect to be in a headspace to problem-solve? Have some grace and patience for yourself and remember that slow, steady progress is powerful.
Speaking of progress, here Mercury gives us an update from Point of Pride fund recipient, Atlas, while power washing her garage. She also shares a clip of a new song released by Kat and the Hurricane, an awesome Madison, WI-based trans band that just funded their first full-length album.

Beyond all the videos and posts that you may see from Mercury, we also have so much going on behind the scenes! We’re brewing some new content ideas, sending out so many orders of Mercury’s book (Safe and Sound: A Renter Friendly Guide to Home Repair), and developing some new products.
Mercury recently recorded a podcast episode with City Cast Madison if you want to give that a listen!
Mercury has also been posting more on Threads, so if you’re active on there be sure to give her a follow!
As a little treat for making it all the way to the end of this post, enjoy a nice rainbow photo that Basil took and some fresh shots of Ophelia Fern and Nougat napping
We hope you have a great weekend!
I love your attitude, your advocacy, and your compassion <3
